Recent announcements of Google's acquistion of Docverse, a start up company that allows users to collaborate, share & edit Microsoft Office documents on line, together with Microsoft's own BPOS (Business Productivity On-Line Service) and Windows Azure, Infrastructure-As-A-Service (IaaS) offerings are clear signs that on-line, collaborative document management is going mainstream.

Lexmark International, Inc. and Perceptive Software today announced a definitive agreement for Lexmark to acquire Perceptive Software in a cash transaction valued at approximately $280 million.
