MTL Document Services Ltd (www.paperscanning.co.uk) , a document management services provider, has announced a merger with Hi Scan Ltd(www.hi-scan.co.uk), experts in data and project management solutions.
The new company will be known as Crimson UK Ltd and will offer information management services, such as document scanning , offsite records management and electronic document management systems.

Both companies are well established in the document management sector, and our combined experience puts us in a strong position to achieve further growth,” explained Crimson UK Director Alastair Galbraith. “The two companies have worked together for 6 years and we are hoping to grow further through acquisitions and with the development plans we have in place, both in the UK and overseas, to help position Crimson UK at the forefront of the sector"
Lancashire based MTL have been providing secure, high quality conversion services for both public and private organisations since 1977. MTL started life as a microfilm services bureau and expanded into document scanning in 1998. In 2000, they were awarded Kodak Document Conversion Centre accreditation, with ISO9001 following in 2006.
Inverness and Stockport based Hi-Scan was formed in 1988, to provide Computer Aided Design services to the oil industry and has become a market leader in information technology, using design draughting, scanning and EDM systems to provide solutions to CAD and imaging requirements.
Crimson UK will consolidate its North West operations in Leigh and retain Dingwall as it seeks to expand its Scottish operations. The company is looking to add to it’s sales and business development teams by recruiting experienced, ambitious people to help the business grow and diversify into new sectors.
