Heads up for ECM, BPM & BPO software executives globally

ECM Transparency

I have just been reading the first draft of the BluePaper “ECM Transparency: The New Paradigm for YOUR Success” by Paul Carman that will be published in the next couple of weeks.

I was impressed by the presentation Paul gave on the subject and we discussed putting together a Document Boss BluePaper on the same topic.  The issue of transparency will and already has had an effect on the market place.  I have inserted below an overview of the document and will announce when the BluePaper will be ready for publication on this blog.  In the meantime if you have an interest in getting an advance copy please email Lesley@documentboss.com and she will be able to email you a copy as soon as it has been proof read (hopefully not by me ).

Quick overview of the paper
ECM has evolved over the last decades because of external marketplace events. At the beginning of the current decade, Compliance was a key driver in solution development and in driving revenue for sector companies.
As the economy rebounds, Governments around the globe are responding with new and enhanced regulations. However, unlike the early parts of this decade, a new force is emerging that is also forcing companies to change; the consumer! As a result of their loss of confidence in companies and regulation enforcement they are now demanding new access to information from all entities in both the private and public sectors. In fact, the ability to openly share information requested will become a major differentiation and competitive advantage beginning today.  This is the start of the new era of Transparency!

Some notable points from the paper:

  • How has the need for Transparency evolved?
  • Why is providing Transparency in ECM solutions important?
  • What is the difference between Transparency and Compliance?
  • How can you take advantage of the new era of Transparency?
